Two friends stood beside a car parked at the gate of a house, chatting.

At a glance, it was clear that the house was newly built — the walls gleamed with fresh paint and decorative finishing.

It was a grand, spacious mansion — easily the most impressive in the entire neighborhood, even though the area itself was full of wealthy people; an area where only the rich could afford to build.

Scene 2: Salis’s Outburst

Salis looked at Nasir, anger written clearly across his face, too deep to hide, and said:

Salis:

"Nasir, am I the one who said I wanted to marry Amrah? Well, I’ve changed my mind.

I’m not marrying her anymore.

I don’t care what people say about it — I swear, I’ve canceled the marriage, and that’s final!"

Scene 3: Nasir’s Shock

[Narration]

Nasir stared at Salis like a man who had just heard madness spoken aloud — completely stunned by the foolishness his friend was about to commit.

Just two days before his wedding, and now he said he was calling it off?

What could that mean?

Would he disgrace himself and everyone else like this?

Nasir (worried):

"Salis, are you even in your right mind?

This is Amrah we’re talking about — the same girl you swore you loved with all your heart,

the girl you said you’d give up everything you own just to have.

And now, with only two days left before the wedding, you say you’ve canceled it?

And not because she wronged you — just because you feel like it?

For God’s sake, what’s going on in your head, Salis?

What’s gotten into you that’s made you want to destroy yourself like this?

Think about it!

If Amrah hears this news — when she’s already waiting joyfully for her wedding in two days —

what do you think will happen to her?

How do you expect her to handle such a heartbreaking message?"

Scene 4: Salis’s Breakdown

Suddenly, Salis burst out, speaking like someone who’d lost control of his senses:

Salis (furiously):

"Nasir, I don’t care about all your calculations and reasoning.

I said I’m not marrying Amrah, and that’s final — even if we were the only two people left in this world.

Take her if you want — along with everything I’ve given her: the bride price, the wedding gifts, everything!

You can go ahead and marry her yourself.

As for me, I swear, I’d rather die right now than marry Amrah.

Go on and marry her if you want — but I’m done. I’ve canceled everything!"

Scene 5: The Departure

Nasir opened his mouth to speak, but Salis quickly cut him off:

Salis:

"I don’t want to hear another word from you about this.

Go ahead — may God grant you peace in your marriage!"

He turned sharply and stormed through the shining new gate of his mansion, slamming it behind him with force.

Nasir stood there, frozen in disbelief.

He remained silent for a long moment, wondering if Salis had gone insane.

Then, with a heavy heart, he got into his car and drove away, deep in thought, searching for a solution.

Because, in truth, Nasir himself never loved Amrah —

but the thought of what she would suffer if she heard this news made him pity her deeply.

He felt he had no choice but to step in and marry her —

for to him, what Salis was about to do to Amrah was an act of terrible humiliation.
